Ultimate Aussie Bucketlist Experience

The great thing about this experience is the ease of it! The trail is only 400m, but it is beautiful – and different.

We had spent the last couple of days at Deepwater National Park. Since leaving Brisbane, this was our first “4WD” experience – so for us, it was an exciting drive through the sand. The good thing is though, if you’re coming from Agnes Water, it is completely sealed.

The air is fresh and the scenery is spectacular as you enter the paperbark forest via the boardwalk.

The stepping stones and board walk are a lot of fun – perfect for the kids. It was a short adventure, but very glad we did it! On the way out, we came across a legless lizard (or something similar), a people around us mistook it for a snake haha.

But we spoke to some people weeks later and they said the boardwalk is a popular place for snakes to hang out – so be careful!
