Ultimate Aussie Bucketlist Experience
This was an obvious stop on the way up to Cooktown, it was on the main highway and it was a nice place to stretch the legs for a bit – though with no shade, it got hot pretty quickly!
It is amazing how these mountains look like a giant pile of black rocks.
Legends talk about people and cattle disappearing on these mountains – perhaps giving this the title of “The Bermuda Triangle” of Far North Queensland. There are no tracks here and the loca indigenous have asked that people respect this place by not trying to climb it.
